Methamphetamine/amphetamine positive

I have a positive GC/MS for both amphetamine and methamphetamine. Donor reports using "mini thins"(ephedrine/synephrine) and "stackers" (ephedra) the day prior to providing the specimen. In everything that I have researched I have decided this would NOT account for both being positive.  Am I correct?
