The only MRO salary "survey" I know of is the MROCC sample fee document at http://www.mrocc.org/feeschedule.pdf The real answer as to the value of MRO work (and the certification) for most of us is in how much work we do and how hard we pursue it.
The post asks about someone who let her MRO certification expire and is wondering if it's worth renewing it. In allowing her certification to expire, I assume she didn't do much with it, which would give it a low value for her [akin to paying for theater tickets and not attending]. At the other end of the spectrum are full-time MRO salaried positions - they are not common and all would certainly pay at least well enough to make the cost of MRO certification negligible.
