One of our employees has admitted to taking Klonopin. Our drug test includes a panel for benzodiazepines. It is a rapid stick test. The employee claims he takes his medicine every day however the benzodiazepine card is coming up negative. Does Klonopin not show up on a test for benzodiazepines? As I have read, a lot of the benzo tests only test for oxazepam which is a metabolite of the more popular benzodiazepines. Is this why the Klonopin isn't showing up?
