I just had a call from a driver saying he had chewed 3 pieces of Eclipse gum on the 15 minute drive to the testing site at 6:30AM.  He tested .068 on the screening test and .054 on the confirmation.  He claims to have had a few beers the night before, finishing the last one at 9:30 PM.  He asked me if the gum which contains 1g of alcohol sugar per piece, could have caused the positive.  Does anyone have any information on this?
