I have a non-regulated post accident test that was to be performed in a local ER. The employee apparently had a seizure and was injured. The designated employer representative knew the circumstance and wanted the collection to proceed. At the time of the collection, the employee was "semi-conscious" according to the collecter and was only able to sign his name with an X. The urine was obtained via the catheter bag at the bedside. Was this collection done improperly? Should a drug test have been performed in this circumstance?
