On another angle to this question: Its easy to get the quantitative levels from the lab. They have to do them for every test. It is the MROs option to have them reported for every positive (I do this with most of the labs I work with). Many times donors ask me what the levels are--its nice to be able to tell them right then and there without having to send a special request to the lab. Very few SAPs ask for the levels. How they want to use them is up to them. I educate as needed. Companies ask for the levels and I just tell them that I cannot release the levels unless there is an administrative or legal hearing as per 40.323. They understand the reasoning--positive is positive--its not "how positive" you are. I explain that the levels vary with a number of factors--amt of drug used, metabolism, hydration etc.
