Make it easy for yourself. Just ask the lab to give you quants on all positives. (They usually want this request in writing---they can send you a form) Then when the SAP calls (and you verify who it is) give them the result. End of story. How the SAP uses the info is up to the SAP. You could drive yourself nuts trying to control how they use it.
