Surprisingly, 11,000 may not be the upper limit. Selavka reported levels in subjects ranging from 820 to 11,571 ng/ml after ingestion of only two poppy seed streusels. The streusels contained approx. 12 grams of seed each. (Fairly high, as Bagels were reported at 1.5 and 3 grams) However, while certainly not the norm, there may be a soul out there who could wolf down 3 streusels.
