I'm interested in how some of you would handle this. I have a specimen that was noted as "temperature out of range". The collected called and notified me that when she requested the second specimen the donor refused and left. I have the results of the cold specimen and they were negative. Do I report those as negative and then another as a refusal to test? The second chain of custody was not started before the donor left. I am accustumed to doing it that way, then there is a COC to go along with the refusal to test. What should I do.
