The DOT standard is a negative test result if both tests are negative, dilute. On the other hand, non-dot does not have to follow that rule. Some divisions of the postal service do limit-of-detection testing for THC and cocaine on the first sample if it is negative-dilute. Some companies put in their policies that two negative dilutes are a disqualifier from hiring. The donor must be aware of these policies before going for drug testing. The problem with the disqualifier method is that companies may be missing out on some qualified people with legitimate medical conditions that account for negative dilute tests. Undiagnosed Type 2 diabetes could be a cause, for example. Unless the lab checks for sugar, you could miss this one.
