Use of hemp oil skin products is not a viable explanation for a THC-positive urine test.

I wrote a 1-page discussion about this and it appears in the April 2004 MRO Update, page 4.  MRO Update is a copyrighted by the publisher, and thus I have not reproduced the article here.  I did point out, in the article, that a study (funded by the hemp industry) illustrates the minute concentrations that could be absorbed from use of hemp oil, at least 400 times smaller than those associated with THC-positive urine drug test results.  By contrast, research and development is under way to create dronabinol patches to deliver THC through the skin.  Drug delivery patches would contain high concentrations of THC and would create micro-environments that facilitate transfer of this large molecule through skin.
