The Medical Review Officer's Manual, MROCC's Guide To Drug Testing, Second Edition, written by Robert Swotinsky, M.D., and Donna Smith, PhD, states the following concerning amphetamine/methamphetamine metabolism: "A 10 mg. dose of amphetamine or methamphetamine generally produces a positive urine for about 24 hours, depending on the urinary pH and individual metabolic differences. High dose abusers can have positive urines for two to four days after last use."
