There is no correlation with a positive marijuana test and the use of Zantac in any laboratory that performs both a screening and confirmation test. Of note, there are certain medications (it will state this in the package insert and there are discussions on the internet) where it is stated that they will test positive to marijuana. Here is a copy and paste from Protonix.... "There have been reports of false-positive urine screening tests for tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in patients receiving most proton pump inhibitors, including pantoprazole. An alternative confirmatory method should be considered to verify positive results." These false positives are ONLY present in these initial screening tests, and you will NOT get a false positive in any confirmation test utilizing GC/MS.
