The U.S. Postal Service (and, by the way, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission) use a temperature range of 94 - 100o F. If a collector fails to recognize and/or take action based on a temperature that is out-of-range, the collector should be informed of the error. However, since this error is not one that causes cancellation of the test, the collector need not go through the error correction training process described by the DOT for its programs, i.e., three consecutive error-free mock collections supervised by a trainer.
By the way, an out-of-range temperature is cause for retesting the donor under direct observation. And, if it's realized that a donor should have had (but did not have) a retest under direct observation, that donor should be sent back to the clinic for the retest under direct observation.
