Twice in the past month clients have screened positive for opiates. GC/MS lab analysis, however, determined that oxycodone had caused their positive opiate screen results. I had believed that oxycodone did not cross-react with opiate screens. What is the likelihood of such cross-reactivity? Both clients claimed to have taken a single dose of oxycodone approximately 24-36 hours prior to testing. We will be switching to oxycodone-specific testing to avoid this dilemma. Do you have any idea what the time ranges for detecting oxycodone in urine are (at 300 ng cutoff)?
Thanks for the great site!
