Please see this response to an earlier posting. Realize that while the confirmation rate of opiate-positive screens is relatively low, this is partly due to use of prescription opiates that are not detected in confirmation tests for codeine and morphine. For example, someone who uses hydrocodone or propoxyphene may screen positive for opiates but fail to confirm positive for codeine or morphine.
