In a NIDA 5 panel, the only opiate that is tested is morphine, codeine and 6-MAM. Hydrocodone will not be detected. In non-DOT panels, many companies choose to test for other opiates. Hydrocodone will be detected in these panels. Codeine/Morphine and Hydrocodone are different opiates and test completely different. A positive test for morphine or codeine will not be explained by hydrocodone. A positive test for hydrocodone will not be explained by codeine or morphine (except with very high levels of codeine).
