Do employers test for methadone?

I have a client that is applying for a state job (human resources for the state).  He is currently on methadone.  He goes to a clinic in the area and sees a counselor.  This client is worried about testing positive for methadone on his pre-employment screening.  I have explained that it should be okay as long as he can verify he goes to the clinic.  He is just afraid of being tested for it in general, as he does not want this on record.  What is the chance that he would be tested for methadone?
