In the MRO Review Manual it states that for a random drug test, a donor must go sit through the 3 hour period even when a documented long-term condition exists. What if it is a pre-employment test and prior to the test it is determined, through a DOT physical exam, etc, that there is a long term medical condition that prevents a donor from producing urine? Can the donor be sent for a evaluation for determination of clinical evidence of illicit drug use at this time? Or must he go through the 3 hour time period at the collection site as well, and only then go for the evaluation?
