I agree with Dr. Woodall. I would also take the urologist’s statement with a grain of salt. It appears this is his personal physician, and perhaps not a neutral and unbiased party. Allow this individual the opportunity of trying to produce a urine specimen. Allow him at least the 3 hours to produce a urine specimen. It really is hard NOT to produce a urine specimen in that time frame especially if allowed to drink fluids. If there is still no specimen, and you will accept this urologist’s letter, then you seem to be looking for alternative methods. I have no problem whatsoever with hair testing. I believe it is a proven technology (with a reputable company) and a proven track record. I am sure that Psychemedics would be happy to talk to you and back that up as well. They were the first, with the longest track record when it comes to hair testing. They are one of 2 hair testing labs for workplace drug testing that immediately comes to mind when it comes to hair testing. Quest being the other one.
