If you are committed to on-site tests (as opposed to sending all specimens out for laboratory-based testing), then you should include specimen validity tests as part of the on-site screen. A number of dipstick-type validity test strips are available and cost very little. Any specimen that screens positive for drugs or has out-of-range validity test results on-site would be sent out for laboratory-based testing.
