Yes, thanks.
I consult with several publicly funded drug treatment facilities who simply do on-site immunoassay tests for treatment compliance/adherence. They do not have funding to run confirmations and when they're asked to it is usually at the patient's expense. I am always getting questions about "cross reactants" on their immunoassay kits. I always refer them to the "package insert" for the test kit in question. The tranylcypromine question was a new one and I saw that part of the chemical structure of tranylcypromine resembles a monoamine and is old and unique enough that it did not get tested by the manufacturer, so I thought it worth checking with the experts.
