Diprivan (Propofol) is an intravenous sedative-hypnotic agent approved for the induction and maintenance of anesthesia. It was the first of a new class of intravenous anesthetic agents called the alkylphenols. As such, it is not a barbiturate, and will not test positive for barbiturates.
