I am not certain about which marketed performance based screening (e.g. the eyes have it) this post refers to.  Many of us for years have strongly encouraged performance based "testing" especially in "for cause" situations.  Documenting the impaired state form several angles goes a long way as a primary measure "in for cause" and is not subject to the sometimes "false" negatives of attendant drug or alcohol screens.  I still believe that the drug screening will continue to be utilized in all arenas.  Business and personal success goes far beyond the ability to appear sober and controlled at particular point in time.  It goes to character and attitude.  Weeding out (to the extent practical) those whose personal integrity, character and attitude allows the inappropriate use of controlled and often illegal substances will, I expect, remain valuable.
