As a reference, there is a very helpful table on page 162 in The Medical Review Officer's Manual (OEM Press, 3rd ed., 2006) that states:
"Current DOT guidance for two specimens collected from the same testing event is as follows:
| First Result | Second Result | Report |
| Negative | Negative | Second result |
| Non-negative | Negative | First result |
| Non-negative | Non-negative | Both results |
Other than the DOT/ODAPC and SAMHSA/Drug-Free Workplace websites, can anyone suggest a reliable source to find "DOT guidance" not specifically stated in the 49 CFR Part 40 regulations?
