Is a morphine level of 3,991 ng/dL consistent with a history of daily lunch time poppy seed ingestion? Codeine is negative. 6-MAM testing is pending. My understanding was that poppy seeds typically generated morphine levels of <2,000 ng/dL. There is no evidence of intravenous drug abuse in this donor. This is a non-DOT test. Anyone's thoughts?
