Assuming you mean collecting the information needed to confirm or actually confirming a prescription - the regulation is 40.129(a)(4) MRO must have direct contact in person or by phone with the donor to perform a verification interview - how far you shift duties for gathering and verifying Rx information beyond that direct contact is, I suppose, your choice - The regs expressly allow admin functioning on negatives but make no mention on non-negatives. However, the above "direct contact" clause was added to the regs early on because some MRO's were delegating the entire process. I personally have concerns for the tendency of the health-care system to shift everything possible down to those less likely to understand, catch, and/or correct flaws and errors (my efficiency vs greed debate).
