Re: Medical marijuana

We are starting to deal with the "medical marijuana issue" and the reporting to employers the results of a non-negative test. The preceding thread discourages reporting of medical marijuana cards to employers because that information may be protected, e.g., under HIPAA. Does this statement from the ...

Re: Using photos to corroborate a prescription

Using photos to corroborate a prescription

Are there new guidelines or regulations about corroborating a prescription? One of my co-workers recently attended MRO assistant training, and she was told that we are not allowed to use "pictures/images" to verify the validity of a prescription because they can be tampered with (photoshop). Any news regarding the requirement for "additional training" by the FMCSA for those of us who are at the 5-year mark of certification?

Re: Insulin???

This is "a long summary" of the 145 page document from the FMCSA. The final rule does not limit the TC to a specific discipline or require the TC to be an endocrinologist. FMCSA defines the TC in the final rule as a healthcare professional who manages, and prescribes insulin for, the treatment of th...

MRO name on the CCF

I am sure that during my MRO training I was taught that the MRO name printed on the COC does NOT have to be the same as the MRO who reviewed the drug test. Does anyone know where I can find that clause in the Code of Federal Regulations?
