Non-DOT GC/MS interference for marijuana

Post by shaysmalls5 » Fri May 10, 2019 5:01 pm

Had a non-DOT cancelled for marijuana due to interference of marijuana metabolites.

Remainder of screen negative. It is for employment.

The donor confirms the use of CDB oil.

Repeat testing: the same.

How do I report out this test to the employer?

The initial result was canceled and the donor should have been tested using a directly observed collection procedure.

If the second test was collected w/o direct observation, then the donor should be retested using direct observation.

If the second test was collected w/direct observation, then:
- If it is invalid for a different reason than the first invalid, the test is canceled and the donor should be retested using a directly observed collection procedure.
- If it is invalid for the same reason as the first invalid, the test is canceled and the employer sends the donor for a clinical assessment to determine if the donor is misusing drugs. This assessment may include an oral fluid or hair drug test.
