My employer is looking at switching our Occ Med department from a salary based compensation to production of some sort, possibly RVUs. In my experience with recent interviews, more than 50% of Occ Med providers are salaried vs. production based. If production based, there is usually some sort of conversion for DOT exams, preemployment exams, MRO work, and so on. I am on a committee attempting to work on this topic. Any words of wisdom/advice from the group?
