Vision waiver

Vision waiver required for monocular driver and/or specialist eye Dr evaluation on State form yearly is sufficient to recertify for CDL.

Also, driver has PA license & have eye dr evaluation from PA BUT works for NJ state.

To rephrase (?): Can a monocular commercial motor vehicle driver work/drive in New Jersey with a Pennsylvania license and Pennsylvania waiver? If that's the correct question, then I think the correct answer is, It depends. If the driver received a federal waiver for monocular vision, then that's valid in any state. If he received a state waiver from Pennsylvania, then that's valid only for driving in Pennsylvania.

If you're the medical examiner, your main concern is checking off on the certificate that a vision waiver is required. Its' then the responsibility of the driver and employer to assure the driver has the appropriate waiver.
