Safety sensitive position as Electrician Pre employment Examination ,
If a person on Methadone treatment for 3yrs & stable Does he qualify if treating provider clear him & his Drug test is negative ?

If the electrician job involves high voltage, working unprotected at heights, or other particularly hazardous environments, you may want to inquire in more detail. Ask for a couple of office notes and the most recent two or three compliance monitoring drug tests. While you mention a negative drug test as part of preemployment, if this electrician is in a medication assisted treatment program, the drug tests from that program may be more extensive and offer more information than the preemployment drug tests.
If it's an electrician who just does home repairs, building maintenance, or other more routine tasks, the methadone and the reason for methadone may not be as much of a concern.
